Braved the cold and windy outdoors to take our class photo (we are the ones wearing sunglasses because we are that cool). Test tomorrow morning in Oceanography, back to studying! xo

This is the beautiful snow that we woke up to this morning! There is about 6-7 inches covering the ground. Beautiful white powder, makes me wish that I was home skiing! The building in the background is the Madden Center where we have all our classes and behind me is our cottage! I will try to post some more pictures of the cottages and such later on today!

We have handed in our first nautical science test, finished our first paper and started drafting our research proposals. They keep us busy! Today we started our celestial navigation unit, which those of you that know me, this is what I was most excited for!!! EEEEEEE I can't wait to dive in. Tonight we watched an interesting film about the commercial fishing industry, but it was shot from what seemed to be the perspective of the fish (mostly). It really captured the amount of work that goes into collecting fish, but also how monotonous the work can be. The below photos are a spattering of more sunsets, a very cool fish with some gnarly whiskers under his chin, the blind seal at the aquarium, Woods Hole and of course, sugar on snow (cause I have to have a little bit of vermont with me everywhere I go). Enjoy :) xoxo

We have been having a fantastic time these past two weeks. Our group has bonded and we have a blast together. Here are some photos, mostly of the beach, plus some groceries, homemade donuts(thank you Brandon!!), and a photo of what our plotting charts look like! We are working hard and learning SOOOO many cool things. We got our first plotting exam today for nautical science...which is exciting and a tad bit frightening. The time here is just flying by. It is hard to believe we are almost halfway done with the shore component! Sorry it took so long for a second post, our professors have been keeping us busy! I can honestly say that I am happy and feel as though I have found my place. If only I could spend all my days sailing the great oceans :) love you all and miss you xoxo
